To all new members,
Welcome to Nightmares Gate! This site is an unofficial site of the movie "Nightmare Before Christmas", but has been changed into a whole other background. All of the images are from the movie "Nightmare Before Christmas". Read the message below and you will know everything you need to know for this site!
Create a profile:
To create a profile go to the "Entering the Gate" board and read the "Submit Your Character" post. To submit your character you start a new thread and name the thread of what you want your character name to be. Example: Billy Noxx.
Once you copy the code in "Submit Your Character" fill out the application and then post message. After posting you application wait for a staff member to accept your character.
Rules of Nightmares Gate:
On this site I don't allow any bad words. What you post must be PG-13. Here are what words you can say:
Any mild language: Stupid, Idiot, Hell, Crap, etc. Just not in an insulting way if thats possible.
I don't allow double posting meaning you cannot post twice in a row in a thread. If any sexual or foul language occurs you will recieve a warning and it will raise and raise until you delete or fix your post. Eventually if it gets that bad then your character will be banned from this site. And that is pretty much the rules of my site.
Avatar Rules:
You must have an avatar of an actual human being; famous or non-famous, either one is ok. If you want a character for an avatar from "The Nightmare Before Christmas", post at the "From the Movie" characters thread. Also if you pick an avatar from the drop down list. You are not allowd to use any of the avatars that are taken. Only the ones all the way down to the last avatar called smiley!!!
Your Character:
So what happens, is as you post, you slowly post your way up until you die. When you have died, PM me, and I will sort you into what you will be when you have died. Once you are dead you can still do all the normal stuff. But say you are a ghost, you can go ahead and still act like your a human, but just present yourself as a ghost instead of a human.
The Theatre:
There are usually only about 3 movies playing at the theatre. When you post for a movie, be sure to state you walking in, buying the ticket, and getting food if you want any and then you walk into the movie with a friend and you are allowd to do whatever mischivious things you want to in there while the movie is in play!
Other Info:
At any board, you are allowd to make threads unless its at Trick or Treat Road. If you want to post at Trick or Treat Road, you must get permission from the owner of the shop or Jack. Your threads must have words in them and not just smileys also.

After You Are A Member:
After you get accepted into this site you are welcome to post anywhere, if you want to apply for a job, read the "Info for Jobs" and you will know where to go from there. It is also not mandatory to buy a house.
So that is pretty much everything you need to know for Nightmares Gate!
